- Abstract
- The validity of a psychological testing program for female bank managerial personnel is examined in an attempt to determine not only whether the procedure produces information relevant to predicting career success, but also, more importantly, whether such information can be effectively analyzed and used in a situational context. Results indicate that the battery of tests contains much useful information, especially when nonlinear effects are allowed. Furthermore, this information can be effectively used by psychologists in preparing written evaluations of the candidates. Simulation studies also indicate that these reports can be successfully interpreted by nonprofessional users.
